The video program takes children's safety a giant step further than ever before. In it,
DOK Lee teaches his granddaughters escape moves in a studio setting. He than works with neighborhood kids as they practice the moves. Hostess Carey Hubert and puppets "Baxter Bear" and "Miko Monkey" help with the training.
DOK Lee is a big, burly bear of a man with a deep bass voice and a full grey beard. Yet, he is kind, caring, and compassionate. Kids love his gentleness and humor. They listen and learn from him. And, kids (especially the boys) love the fact that he is a real, live hero who has lived a life of danger and adventure.
It is important to note that DOK Lee's video does not teach any aggressive behavior at all. He only teaches defensive moves that will help a child escape if they are grabbed. The video will teach kids:
- How to escape if they are grabbed by one wrist - or by two
- How to escape if they are picked up off the ground
- How to escape if they are grabbed by one elbow - or two
- How to escape if they are grabbed by the neck - or around the neck
- How to escape if they are grabbed by the shoulders
